Charlotte had a morning worth celebrating.
On October 1, community leaders, nonprofit organizations and local partners gathered for the 2026 Goodie Awards, an event dedicated to recognizing the people behind positive change across Charlotte.
Hosted by SHARE Charlotte and Foundation For The Carolinas, the celebration highlighted the accomplishments of nonprofit partners and the people who continue to give their time, energy and resources to their communities.
The event was filled with celebration, connection and appreciation for the people doing meaningful work throughout the city.
That is what community looks like: people showing up, organizations working together and neighbors finding ways to make their communities better.
Today, CitySpot shines the light on them.
There is always something good happening in our communities. Sometimes it just takes a moment to stop, recognize it and give the people doing the work their flowers.
Good people. Good work. Good community.
