How do I get started with CitySpot?

After signing up, set your city in Settings. Then explore the Dashboard to see local news, events, and businesses. Your first month is a free trial — no credit card required upfront.
What cities are available on CitySpot?

CitySpot currently serves Austin TX, Portland OR, Nashville TN, Boulder CO, and Asheville NC. More cities are coming soon — contact us if you want your city added.
What is the Dashboard?
▾
Your Dashboard is your personal city hub. It shows local news, upcoming events, open jobs, your businesses, unread messages, and your account status all in one place.
How do I change my city?
▾
Go to Settings → Change City. You can switch between any of our 5 supported cities anytime.
How do I change my password?
▾
Go to Settings → Password. Enter your current password, then your new password twice. Passwords must be at least 8 characters.
Can I have multiple email addresses?
▾
Each CitySpot account has one login email. Your CitySpot Mail inbox is separate from your login email.
What plans are available?

We offer Explorer ($9/mo), Citizen ($29/mo), and Business ($79/mo). Each plan unlocks more features. See the full comparison at /billing/upgrade.php.
How do I cancel my subscription?

Go to Billing → Manage Billing. This opens the Stripe portal where you can cancel anytime. You keep access until the end of your billing period.
Is there a free trial?

Yes — new accounts get a 14-day free trial of the Citizen plan. No credit card required to start.
Do you offer refunds?
▾
We offer a 7-day refund on first-time subscriptions if you are not satisfied. Contact us within 7 days of your first charge.
What are add-ons?
▾
Add-ons are one-time purchases: Job Posts ($19), Sponsored Listings ($49-$99), and Verified Badges ($29). They do not require a subscription.
How do I add my business?

Go to Business → Add Your Business. Fill in your business details and submit. Listings are reviewed within 24 hours.
How many businesses can I list?
▾
Explorer: 1 listing. Citizen: 3 listings. Business plan: Unlimited. Free plan: 0 listings.
What is a Sponsored Listing?
▾
Sponsored listings appear at the top of the business directory and on the homepage. They cost $49 (30 days) or $99 (90 days) as a one-time purchase.
What is a Verified Badge?
▾
A verified badge (✓) shows customers your business is legitimate and has been reviewed by CitySpot. It costs $29 as a one-time fee.
How does CitySpot Mail work?

CitySpot Mail is a full-featured email system built into the platform. You can send and receive emails, organize by folders, and reply to messages.
How much storage does mail include?
▾
Explorer: 500MB. Citizen: 5GB. Business: 25GB.
What is Secure Messaging?
▾
Secure Messaging is end-to-end encrypted private messaging between CitySpot users. It is available on Citizen and Business plans.
Who can I message with Secure?
▾
Any other CitySpot user. Find people through the Connect network and start a conversation from their profile.
How do I post a job?
▾
You can post a job listing for $19 (one-time). Citizen plans include 1 free job post per month, Business plans include 5.
How long do job postings stay active?
▾
Job posts are active for 30 days. You can renew or repost after they expire.
What is The Hub?
▾
The Hub is CitySpot's entertainment and events platform. Browse and RSVP to local events, rent digital content, and explore local venues.
How is local news sourced?
▾
CitySpot aggregates news from local publications and trusted news sources for each city, updated throughout the day.
